Fast & Insured to your door. When it comes to purchasing gold jewellery online, Carat Goldsmith understand that buyers want their orders as quickly and as safely as possible. With this in mind, we use Royal Mail "Special Delivery Guaranteed Next Day" service on all orders.

Orders placed from Monday to Thursday by 3 PM are dispatched on the same day (unless resizing is necessary; in such cases, the order must be placed at least one hour in advance, or it will be sent the following business day). If the order is made after 3 PM, it will be dispatched the next business day.
While we aim for prompt same-day dispatchment, please be aware that occasional delays may occur. Kindly allow an additional 1-2 business days for your order to reach you as expected.
Our office is closed on Friday and the weekend, therefore orders placed after 3pm on Thursday will be dispatched the following business day. During promotions or public holidays, shipping and production time may be extended. Please refer to our delivery page for information on any possible delays.
Our custom-made items are shipped within one week, as each item is meticulously handcrafted by our team. This period does not account for the days when we are not operating. If you have submitted a custom order during our office closure, it will be processed on the next business day.
Customers will be kept informed throughout by receipt of a shipping confirmation email after purchase. Once your order is dispatched, we will provide you with a tracking number, so you know your order is on its way.
Delivery of your items
For total peace-of-mind, we offer full insurance to your doorstep and for this reason, we can only deliver to the shipping address on your order. Please note we are not liable for any redirection service you might have in place. Due to the secure nature of the goods we offer, the delivery service we employ does not allow for the redirection of parcels to an alternate address.
Carat Goldsmith is not liable for incorrect addresses provided by customers or for parcels returned to us by the courier due to circumstances such as the recipient no longer residing at the specified address, which prevents the courier from completing the delivery. Once the item has been dispatched, we are not responsible for the security or delivery timeframe of said package thereafter. Providing the item has been delivered to the correct GPS location of the building in the address provided, Carat Goldsmith have fulfilled their duty to deliver the package.

I missed my parcel
If you are not at home when the Royal Mail postman arrives to deliver your jewellery parcel, you have 2 options:
- If you want your item quickly, the best way to get it is by going to the Royal Mail Delivery Office. You will find the Delivery Office address on the card which the Royal Mail postman left you. Make sure you take the card and personal identification (such as a driving license) with you to collect.
- You can arrange a re-delivery using the information on the red "Something for you" card. Royal Mail will re-deliver free of charge to your home or to an alternative local address but bear in mind that a re-delivery takes up to 48 hours from the time you request it.
Does your shipping cost include insurance?
All orders are dispatched safely with tracked, insured and signed delivery. All our goods include insurance protection.
Is my jewellery safe in transit?
We are confident that your order will be safe as we use the leading, most-trusted delivery companies. For further peace of mind, your jewellery is insured in the event of loss, theft or damage, until it is signed for.
If for any reason, you wish to return your order within the returns period, it is your responsibility to insure your jewellery during transit. Unfortunately, we do not accept any responsibility for any items that are lost during transit when they are being returned.
Do you deliver internationally?
Unfortunately, we solely ship within the United Kingdom. If uncertain of delivery eligibility, enter your address at checkout. Our system will verify its compatibility with UK addresses. Shipping is limited to addresses within the UK border therefore your address may not be shown in the drop-down list of addresses.

Is signature required upon delivery?
Since we use Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed, this service includes a photo and signature on delivery. Please make sure you are available to sign for your order when it is delivered, as you are solely responsible for the acceptance of your order upon delivery.
All jewellery is sent with tracking. If the tracking information says the parcel has been delivered, Carat Goldsmith is not responsible for any lost packages.
If your order is sent back to Carat Goldsmith by the shipping company for failure to deliver, you will be required to pay for the re-shipment of your order.
